The Darkness fell in, guiding its residents out of the boundaries of less impressive shadows and into the spaces that fill this world. Never Was was assaulted by a number of these spectres, all of which targeted a single Nobody before vanishing, presumably into the clouded ether from whence they came. The return of the Light appears to have been the cause of their immediate and unexpected exit. Obviously, repeated attempts to trap the beings were unsuccessful.

It is a grievous shame we hadn't the means to capture them, considering their unique abilities and... forms.

The Castle's defenses will have to be reassessed yet again.

At least we had no need to waste our pitiful remnants of fear and worry on these most short-lived of troubles.

I must confess to being almost surprised that the Light's comeback was brought about by the spilling blood rather than by the waving of a key or the unlocking of a heart.
